My Favourites
Selections
These are some of my favorite images, brought together because they complement each other in color, composition, or feeling.
Each photo is unique, but together they form small visual conversations. They work especially well printed or displayed side by side, letting the images interact and play off one another.
Harmony
In this series of photos showcasing abandoned fishing boats on Limnos, the first feeling I get is "Harmony." The matching azure of the sky, the sea, and the boats, along with the peaceful and quiet surroundings, and the "loneliness" of the boats, create a very special atmosphere.
The photos were taken on different mornings in August 2023, not intentionally as a series. I only realized how well they matched when I looked at them on the computer later.
They make a beautiful print series. My cousin in Switzerland has them printed at about 30cm x 20cm, and they look fantastic on her wall.
Passage d’Azur
Three summer days, three moments by the sea.
In each photo, the azure stands out — soft in the evening light, rippled by a morning breeze, and bright and clear under the midday sun.
The light, the wind, and the feeling changed a little each day, but the blue stayed the same.
After the rain
There’s something magical about the moments right after the rain stops. Today was one of those days. The downpour had left everything glistening and the air filled with the earthy scent of fresh rain. As the heavy clouds began to part, the first rays of sunlight pierced through.
Seizing the chance, I grabbed my camera and headed to the seaside. Wet ground sparkled, and the sky shifted from gray to a hopeful blue. As I walked, I discovered scenes that begged to be captured.
